Welcome to Hank's Place ~ Fly-in 2012 ~  Below is a pictorial of the day and I will start this day from the beginning...These aircraft are light wind early morning vehicles...the plan was to be there by 6am...They were... I weren't...I was in bed watching the news about the shooting at the movie theater in Colorado...My dogs hung close all night and the cuddles were extra good this early morning and going over the hill to Hank's Fly-in was second place in my mind...

A cup of coffee later the service dogs were dressed and I was backing out of the garage...The drive this early morning in Big Valley was beautiful and excitement beckoned in my mind...I rounded the last corner at Hanks Place and I saw nothing...a couple of trucks way out there...at least someone is here...I could have stayed in bed...Then a fellow landed, we met and we were talking when all of the others showed up...Hank's place was being invaded...One after the other they came back to earth and the morning cup of coffee was on someone's mind, Right Chris:?)

I saw some nice machines, nice landings and nice people...It was very appealing and I do believe that I want to get back up there; I haven't danced with the clouds for 20+ years...I do believe I hear the sky calling and my Charlie boy the service dog volunteered for the co-pilot slot...Hank has offer to teach me and I think that just may happen...

It was a great time for all I do believe and I was even invited up to Hanks for breakfast but home was calling...Thanks Hank...

Hank's Place has the white roof, the fly-in is the small field to the left of the white roof, Mt. Shasta watches from the West...

This picture was taken on the way home looking back into the valley

Home is nice...since my accident it is radio control for me...but...I hear Hank's Place calling...
